Evicted Homeless Man Gets Motel in Trouble for Bedbugs

The following information was provided by the Solon Police Department.

The owner of a motel called police Sept. 4 because a tenant refused to leave after an eviction.

The owner told police the man, 53, called the state fire marshal in retaliation to the eviction.

During an inspection the fire marshal discovered bed bugs in the room and a disconnected fire alarm.

The homeless man admitted that he was behind on payments and that he called the fire marshall in revenge.

Police told him to stay off the property or he would be arrested for criminal trespassing.
