Names are sometimes mentioned in Police Blotters although I have never understood how they make the decision on who they name or don't name...except in the case of minors. I don't believe there are any laws prohibiting the mention of a business' name in a Police Blotter.
As far as accuracy of reporting on the Patch.... I do not know their procedures. I do know in the past that they have posted an update when information was not compete or was inaccurate.
You can and have to control patrons in your place of business.....I have family who owned a bar in another state. They have to be responsible for the safety of their patrons. We may not like all the laws, I don't agree with all of them, but we do have to obey those that are in place. I do see there are alcohol training programs for those serving alcohol.
As far as the photo.....that is a minor issue....I am sure that patrons/owners of all three establishments would have a problem with their photo being the one published. -

ReplyI like Rusty Bucket and The annex...never been to the third place.....But, why is it wrong to publish the names of businesses who break laws? Serving a 17 year old underage person is not breaking a made up law. It is a serious offense.

ReplyDan....like we've said numerous times and Harry said above....it's nothing personal with reference to Russ. I like him. Russ is a good guy and has always been willing to do whatever is needed. Honestly, I don't remember ever hearing anything negative about him. I don't dislike our Mayor, our City Council, etc....I just dislike the way things are being handled.
We love SCA....and the staff headed by Christine, who is pulling their share and then some. My son is very involved over there, so we've been there quite a bit before and since Karen's resignation. Heck, my son's first class at SCA was when he was less than 2 years old and he's now 10. My eldest son took voice lessons there years ago when he was still in school. SCA has been such a wonderful place our youngest and other children. Karen was a big reason for that. I hope it carries on to be the same comfortable, nurturing place it has been. -

ReplyFriends would have rented the space....the event was on the calendar and then suddenly was not there....even though it had been on the schedule for month, but I believe that has been covered here. ...smh
