Fran Henry was a reporter at The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio, for 20 years. During that time, she also edited two weekly sections -- "Health & Fitness" for two years, and "Everywoman" for a year. She was editor of the student newspaper at Kent State University, where she got a bachelor's degree in journalism. She also has a master's in urban studies from Cleveland State University.

Henry lives in Shaker Heights.
