This story is reprinted from earlier in the year. A skeleton found in June near Cedar Point amusement park were later confirmed to be the remains of Solon resident and missing boater Charles Kaplan. Kaplan, of Solon, has been missing since his boat was found capsized near the amusement park last October. Kaplan's companion, Pam Holstein, was found dead inside the boat last year. Solon Police officers broke up a massive party on SOM Center Road on St. Patrick's Day that resulted in charges against dozens of Solon teens and young adults. The party at a large home at 5119 SOM Center Road is still under investigation. So far, 31 people have been charged and 10 more have been referred to Solon's juvenile officers. Most of the charges are for underage drinking, but some were tagged with charges of drug abuse, resisting arrest and obstructing official business. All but three of the partygoers …

A woman and her 3-year-old daughter are lucky to be alive after their car plunged from a bridge overpass and crashed onto SOM Center Road in September. The driver's daugher was unharmed. This story is reprinted from earlier in the year. Solon Police broke up a massive 'electrofoam' party arranged over social media, charging ten people with various drug and drinking related charges. Police arrived at Grantwood Golf Course at about 11:38 p.m. July 20 to find a massive party with hundreds of juveniles and young adults under 21. Officers said they observed sexual activity, drinking and found evidence of drug use. According to the police report, the party was promoted over social media as an 'electrofoam' party and that the organizers were charging $10 for people…
