Solon Grad Chris Humphrey Suits Up for Kent State at the GoDaddy.com Bowl
The Kent State Golden Flashes football team will play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
For years he terrified opposing defenders for the Solon Comets, and now, Chris Humphrey will be on the Kent State sideline in the football team's first bowl game in 40 years. The Golden Flashes arrived in Mobile, AL this week to play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. The game will be aired on ESPN. Humphrey is the only Solon player to suit up for the Golden Flashes this year. At Solon High School, Humphrey was a standout jack-of-all-trades for the Comets. He's continuing in that trend at Kent State, playing as a wide receiver and contributing on special teams. Humphrey has played in all 13 games for the Flashes, and is the team's fourth leading receiver with 23 catches for 297 yards. His best game of the season was …
