Music in Motion Named Grand Champion at Findlay FEst 2013

Solon's show choir won best vocals, best choreography and best band.

Solon High School's beloved show choir, Music in Motion, hit it big this weekend. The group was named grand champion, finishing first at the Findlay FEst 2013, according to their Facebook page. Music in Motion was won awards for best vocals, best choreography and best band along with the first-place finish. Josh Trattner was named most dynamic performer.

Music in Motion Show Choir Named Grand Champions In Season's First Competition

Solon High School's Music In Motion was named grand champions of the first show choir competition of the season in Beavercreek, Ohio.

Solon High School's Music In Motion Show Choir was perfect last year. They are keeping the streak alive this year. The show choir was named Grand Champions this weekend in the competition of the season, the Beavercreek Midwest Show Choir Classic. In addition to winning Grand Champions, Music in Motion also took home a number of other awards, including Best Vocals, Best Choreography, Best Band and Best Costumes. Samantha Singer also won an individual award for Best Female Soloist. Congratulations to Music in Motion! The show choir competes in the Marysville Showcase next weekend.

To promote the event, Director Gary Lewis and choir members Samantha Singer and Shane Krenn performed lived on WKYC Channel 3's morning show. Singer sang and Krenn played the guitar. Music in Motion Show Choir Presents 'Cabaret Night' Saturday

Tickets are $10 for Music in Motion's Cabaret Night on Saturday at Solon High School.

Add a little music to your life as Solon High School’s Show Choir, Music in Motion presents Cabaret Night this Saturday. Now you can see the members of Solon’s own show choir, Music in Motion, showcase their talents in an intimate coffee house setting. Cabaret Night features a variety of musical and vocal acts performed by the students on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria, 33600 Inwood Road.This popular event has been entertaining students, parents, alumni and community members for years. Undefeated! Music In Motion Show Choir Wins 5th Grand Championship

The Solon High show choir ended the season with its 5th grand championship, the first time ever in the choir's 25-year history.

Editor's Note: The following post was submitted by Patch reader Kathy Skaggs. This past Saturday, Solon High School's Music in Motion won it's 5th straight Grand Championship at the Teays Valley Classic in Ashville, Ohio. The competition is a combination of middle school, festival class and championship class show choirs. This year, 20 choirs from Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and West Virginia participated. In the daytime competition, Music in Motion received awards for Best Costumes, Best Female Soloist (Dani Apple), and Best Male Soloist (Kirk Eichelberger, Jr.). Watch Show Choir Talent Perform at Solon's First Ever Competition

Fourteen show choirs, including Twinsburg, Strongsville and Cuyahoga Falls, will compete this weekend in Solon High School's first ever show choir competition.

Solon High School's Music in Motion show choir is hosting its first-ever competition this Saturday, March 3. Fourteen show choirs from Ohio and Virginia, including choirs from Twinsburg, Strongsville and Cuyahoga Falls, will compete to be Grand Champion at the Solon Show Choir Invitational 2012. The first choir performs at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the Solon High School auditorium. Choirs will then perform every half hour throughout the day. The six best choirs return for finals beginning at 7:30 p.m. Wristbands are only available at the door the day of the show. Daytime Competition admission costs $8. The Finals Competition is $8 also. Music in Motion will not compete but will perform at 10:30 p.m. followed by the Finals Awards presentation. …

Music In Motion Wins Again; Fourth Grand Championship of Season

Despite a strange incident with a fire extinguisher, Solon's Music in Motion received its fourth straight grand championship in Twinsburg.

Solon High School's Music In Motion brought home its 4th straight Grand Championship, after participating in the Northcoast Show Choir Invitational on Saturday at Twinsburg. The competition included 19 show choirs, representing 4 junior high schools and 15 high schools from Ohio, West Virgina and Alabama.   During the daytime awards, Music In Motion won Class A Champion, Best Female Vocalist (Dani Apple), and Best Student Instrumental Combo. Stephen Kersey was also awarded the Best Individual Performer for Solon. Based on the highest overall scores Solon and choirs from Medina, Loveland, Ohio, Nitro, WV, Hurricane, WV, and Albertville, Ala. were selected to move on to the evening finals. Twinsburg Hosting Northcoast Show Choir Invitational Saturday

Solon's "Music in Motion" will be competing in the competition hosted by "Great Expectations"

This Saturday show choirs from all around will converge on Twinsburg High School as it hosts the 2012 Northcoast Show Choir Invitational. Hosted by Twinsburg's Great Expectations, the show will see groups such as Solon's Music in Motion compete for the Grand Championship. The show begins as early as 8 a.m. Looking for passes? Here are your options: Schools competing include Brush, Euclid, Medina, Strongsville, and more. The show will feature mixed, single-gender, and middle school divisions, which will be divided by school enrollment. The top six mixed groups will perform in the evening finals for the Grand Championship.

Solon's Music In Motion Wins Third Grand Championship of Season

In the afternoon awards, Music In Motion won Class A Grand Champion, along with awards for Best Costumes, Best Instrumental Group, and Best Technical Crew.

This past Saturday, Solon High School's Music in Motion attended the 14th Annual Show Choir Invitational in Cuyahoga Falls, the Cuyahoga Classic. Music in Motion competed with 13 other show choirs from Ohio and West Virginia. In the afternoon awards, Music In Motion won Class A Grand Champion, along with awards for Best Costumes, Best Instrumental Group, and Best Technical Crew. However, going into the finals that evening, Solon was in second place, with an overall score that was just 7 points behind the Hurricane Red Hot from Hurricane, WV.   In the finals, Music In Motion competed against Hurricane, as well as ETC's All Americans, Edgewood High School's Choraliers, Euclid High School's Varsity Chorale, and Mayfield High School's Limited …
