Severe Weather Rips Through Solon

Storm brought hail and knocked down branches in Solon

Citizens of Solon were taken by suprise by Monday's thunderstorm, one of many that struck across Northeast Ohio. Check out some  photos of the aftermath in Solon. The National Weather Service says residents in dozens of counties reported damage from winds that snapped tree limbs and downed power lines. The weather service has received reports of funnel clouds, but those reports have not been confirmed. Tornado sirens did sound in Solon. As many as 5,000 residents in Cuyahoga County are without power as of 6 a.m. this morning, but none are reported in Solon.
