A man was arrested and charged with physical control after a Solon Police officer found him and another man passed out in the car in a gas station parking lot. The officer noticed the two men passed out in the car at the Shell Station on SOM Center Road. He woke them up and asked the driving how much he had to drink. "A good amount," the driver replied, according to the police report. The driver, a 30-year-old man from Chagrin Falls, was arrested and taken to Solon jail. He refused a breathalyzer test. The passenger was given a ride home.

A 51-year-old Aurora woman was arrested and charged with physical control after she was caught drinking in her black Mercedes at Solon Square shopping plaza, according to Solon Police. Officers noticed the woman when they pulled into the parking lot. According to the report, she got out of the car looked around and get back in before officers approached, the report reads. The woman had an open can of Olde English 800 in the car. She recorded a breathalyzer test of .124, over the legal limit of .08, according to the report. She was arrested and taken to Solon jail.

Solon Police took a drunken 51-year-old Solon man from the bar to his home, which he shares with his mother. The problem? His mother wanted nothing to do with him. The man was out drinking at Station 43 on Aurora Road and causing a disturbance in the parking lot, according to a Solon Police report. Officers arrived and told them man they would take him to his home on Edgemoor Avenue. When he got there, his mother turned him away, saying "No, don't take him here," according to the report. He then started verbally attacking his mother, so the police arrested him. He is charged with disorderly conduct.

Solon police saw a car partially blocking the U.S. 422 off-ramp to State Route 91 on July 16 around 5:30 a.m. Its lights were on, but there was no movement inside, police reports said. When the officer walked up to the car, he found Peter Howard, 23, of Cleveland, asleep at the wheel. The officer shined his flashlight on Howard, and eventually knocked on the window to wake him up. Police asked Howard to perform sobriety tests, which he failed, the report said. In a breath test, he blew a .127. Howard was arrested and police charged him with physical control and prohibited blood-alcohol level.

While his children played in the Solon Park Apartments pool on July 17, an intoxicated Justin Rodebaugh, 34, passed out in his pool chair and fell onto the ground, said Solon police. His children are 15 months, 3 and 7 years old. They were not hurt. Someone in the apartment complex called police after Rodebaugh had fallen from his chair. After officers arrived, he became belligerent, police said. Police arrested Rodebaugh and charged him with disorderly conduct and endangering children.
