A 24-year-old Solon man was arrested and charged after police broke up a large party at his Bainbridge Road where minors were drinking, according to Solon Police. Police say 14 guests were either arrested or cited for underage drinking on Jan. 13 at about 12:55 a.m. Besides the host, all of the guest were under 21 and five were under eighteen. Officers were called to the area of Bainbridge Road near Sharondale Drive after a resident called to report a bunch of people running toward a house. The yard was also covered in empty beer cans and a car was parked in the middle of the front lawn, according to the police report. Three Solon bars were cited for noncompliance with liquor laws when liquor enforcement officers performed a sweep in Solon.
Three Solon bars were issued administrative citations after they were caught breaking liquor laws during an operation on Dec. 7, according to Solon Police. Officers with the Ohio Division of Liquor Control perfomed undercover operations in Solon on Dec. 7, sending officers to bars in the city to check their compliance with the state's liquor laws and complying with their liquor licenses. According to Solon Police, three bars were cited. They include: The Rusty Bucket at Uptown Solon was issued an administrative citation after a bartender, 26, served alcohol to someone who was 17 years old. A 17-year-old Solon teenager was taken to the hospital after he nearly drank an entire bottle of whiskey, according to Solon Police. The police responded to a home on Country View Lane for a call that a 17-year-old boy was sick. At the home the police determined that the boy had been drinking an entire bottle of Jack Daniel's, according to the police report. The teenager was taken to St. Vincent Medical Center for treatment. He will be referred to the Solon juvenile officer for possible charges.

Solon Police officers went to the Hampton Inn on Enterprise Parkway after guests complained of too much noise in one of the rooms. Police found five teens, all under 18 years old, having a party. Officers confiscated marijuana and alcohol, according to the police report. In all, five teens were referred to the juvenile officer on charges of drug abuse and curfew violations. They were a 17-year-old boy from Cleveland, a 17-year-old boy from Mayfield Heights, a 15-year-old girl from Bedford Heights, a 16-year-old boy from Oakwood Village and a 17-year-old boy from Bedford Heights.

A Solon man faces a charge of allowing underage drinking at his home after police broke up a party on Aug. 10. Three Solon residents under the age of 21 were cited for underage drinking after police responded to complaints of a party on Arthur Road at about 7 p.m. on Aug. 10, according to a Solon Police report. James M. Rendt, 56, of Solon, faces a charge of allowing underage possession of alcohol. That is a first-degree misdemeanor. The underage Solonites cited include 20- and 18-year-old men and an 18-year-old woman.

A 19-year-old Solon man thought he'd get away with it: He was using a fake ID to drink at Panini's in Solon, according to Solon Police. But turns out there was someone in the bar that knew him, and they called police and said he was underage, according to the police report. Police came and confiscated his fake ID. He was charged with underage possesion of alcohol and certain acts prohibited for the fake identification.

An 18-year-old Solon man was arrested and charged with underage drinking after he threw up and began taking off his clothes in a movie theater, according to Solon Police. Workers at Solon Cinemas on Enterprise Drive said that the man began to vomit on himself during a showing of a movie. He then began rolling around on the floor trying to get his clothes off. Theater workers removed the man from the building and called the police. Police found the man laying on the sidewalk, covering in vomit. The man told police that he was really drunk and didn't know what was going on.

Passengers in westbound vehicle receive drug and alcohol charges
An early morning traffic stop on Monday resulted in multiple charges for a vehicle full of young adults. Solon Police stopped a car driven by 21-year-old Benjamin Swindell of Cleveland at 3 a.m. on Route 422 after officers noticed the car weaving between lanes, Lt. Bruce Felton said. Officers charged Swindell with drug abuse and possession after finding marijuana in the westbound vehicle near the Harper Road exit. Swindell's 19-year-old passenger, Stephanie Sciranko of Mayfield Heights, was cited for underage consumption of alcohol and presenting another person's identification. A third passenger, 23-year-old Nicholas Mantz of South Euclid, also received drug abuse and possession charges for marijuana. Swindell was also charged with …

A plain-clothes Solon officer noticed two young men acting strange in the parking lot outside Freeway Lanes, which ended in them being busted for underage drinking, according to a police report. The officer watched two men -- a 19-year-old and 20-year-old from Chesterland -- leave the bowling alley and enter a white pickup truck and just sit there. He also noticed a beer can on the ground beneath the truck, so he went to check it out. According to the report, the two men were caught drinking and were cited for underage possession of alcohol.
