U.S. Marshals Arrest Man Accused of Rape After a Text Tip

Bobby Thomas, one of the task force’s fugitives of the week, was arrested this week

An alert, anonymous citizen helped the U.S. Marshals arrest a man suspected of rape earlier this morning.  Last week, the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force featured Bobby Thomas as its fugitive of the week. Thomas, 39, was wanted by the Lakewood Police Department for rape and kidnapping. According to a release from the task force, Thomas allegedly raped a child under the age of 14 multiple times between August and October 2012. The release notes that the U.S. Marshals received a number of tips regarding Thomas since he was featured, but none led them to his current location. Police Still Searching For Solon Man Wanted for Rape

Police are still searching for Solon resident Bobby Jackson, 48, who is wanted on felony charges of rape and domestic violence. The U.S. Marshals and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force are searching for a 48-year-old Solon man who is accused of rape and domestic violence, according to the Solon Police Department. Bobby Jackson, who has prior convictions of domestic violence, stayed at a woman's home on Dec. 11, and when she returned from taking her children to school on Dec. 12, he attacked her, according to a police report. The woman had a temporary protection order against him.
