The National Weather Service says there is a "slight" chance of severe thunderstorms later today as another system moves over Northeast Ohio. Hail and wind gusts are possible later this afternoon. Any storms are expected after 4 p.m. Thursday Forecast: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79 degrees. South wind around 16 mph. Tonight Forecast: Showers and thunderstorms still. Low around 60 degrees. Friday Lookahead: Morning thunderstorms, high temperatures near 71 degrees. Storm brought hail and knocked down branches in Solon
Citizens of Solon were taken by suprise by Monday's thunderstorm, one of many that struck across Northeast Ohio. Check out some photos of the aftermath in Solon. The National Weather Service says residents in dozens of counties reported damage from winds that snapped tree limbs and downed power lines. The weather service has received reports of funnel clouds, but those reports have not been confirmed. Tornado sirens did sound in Solon. As many as 5,000 residents in Cuyahoga County are without power as of 6 a.m. this morning, but none are reported in Solon.

The rainy streak continues in Solon today
Today's Forecast: More rain expected today, along with possible thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Chance of rain is 80 percent Expect some fog before 9 a.m. High temperatures expected to reach 55 degrees.
