Details Emerge About Solon Burglary That Led To Man's Suicide
A Solon Police report provides more information on the burglary that preceded a 27-year-old man's suicide.
A 27-year-old Westlake man who killed himself on Jan. 31 was found with thousands of dollars in jewelry and valuables that were taken recently from a Solon home, according to Solon Police. Lt. Bruce Felton of the Solon Police said they do not know yet whether Andrew Baumgartner, 27, had stolen the valuables from the Solon residence or if he had obtained them later on. Felton said that detectives are investigating. Baumgartner killed himself Jan. 30 after a confrontation with a Medina County sheriff's deputy. He shot himself in the woods, and valuables from the Solon home were found in a bag in his possession.
