Jennifer Natale takes over as CEO of the Solon Chamber of Commerce for the now-retired Nancy Traum
Jennifer Natale is the new CEO of the Solon Chamber of Commerce. She will be formally introduced to chamber members at the monthly luncheon in April. "We are pleased that she is joining a well-organized group and feel that she will be able to keep the Chamber moving forward," said Chamber Chairman Jim Kelvington. Before joining the Solon Chamber, Natale worked with the American Red Cross as a Donor Recruitment Representative where she was responsible for the market development and territory management for the Northern Ohio Blood Services Division. The Solon Chamber Business of the Year award was presented at a recent luncheon.
The Solon Chamber of Commerce recently announced its Business of the Year. The winner is Action Travel Center on Harper Road. The announcement was made during the recent Solon Chamber luncheon. The Solon Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for a new CEO. Current CEO Nancy Traum, who has been with the Chamber for 14 years, is retiring in March. Board Chairman Jim Kelvington said they are seeking applicants for the position and that he expects to begin the interview process after the New Year. Nancy Traum plans to retire in March after 14 years with the Solon Chamber of Commerce.
Nancy Traum is retiring next year as the President/CEO of the Solon Chamber of Commerce. The announcement was made by Chamber Chairman Jim Kelvington in the December newsletter. Traum plans to retired in March 2013. She worked for the Solon Chamber for 14 years. Kelvington said the chamber has formed a search committee to find Traum's replacement. When Jim Tressel coached the Ohio State Buckeyes, he and his football team would recite this verse of a poem before the start of each game: I am only one, But still I am one. I cannot do everything, But still I can do something; And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. He used this to inspire his players to do their part, no matter how small it was. The Solon Chamber of Commerce will hold a second Cash Mob on Oct. 3 to support a local business.
Help out a local business tonight by participating in Solon's second cash mob. The business that will be mobbed will be a surprise, and will be announced today, said Chamber Chairman Jim Kelvington. The announcement will be made at noon on Oct. 3 on Solon Chamber website. Solon Patch will also provide the information as soon as it's available. A cash mob is an event to encourage people to shop local businesses by having a crowd descend on a specific business and have each person spend at least $20. They are usually organized through social media and, of course, good old fashioned word of mouth. We'll have more information on the cash mob as it gets closer! Want to help spread the word? The former Ohio State Buckeyes head coach is the guest speaker at an upcoming Chamber Networking Luncheon.
Former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel will be the keynote speaker at an umpcoming Solon Chamber of Commerce luncheon. Tressel will speak at Blue Canyon Kitchen and Tavern on Wilcox Drive in Twinsburg on Wednesday, Oct. 17. The luncheon runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tressel is now the president for strategic engagement at the University of Akron. He resigned as the head football coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2011. His talk is called "The Attitude of Gratitude." The luncheon is part of the 3Chamber format, featuring chambers of commerce from Twinsburg and Aurora as well.
