Police Nab Shoplifting Suspects at Old Navy

A man and two women, all from Cleveland, were arrested and charged with theft after Solon Police say they caught them with stolen merchandise from Old Navy at Uptown Solon. On April 3 at about 1 p.m., the store called to report that they saw customers concealing items in their purses in the store, according to the police report. The police arrived, and were waiting for them when they exited the store. Police searched their car -- a rental from Maryland -- which had nine items from Old Navy and 24 items from H&M. The three could not produce receipts for the items. One of them, a 23-year-old man, was also charged with drug abuse because police say he was carrying 16 grams of marijuana.

Women Charged With Stealing $2,390 of Clothing from Old Navy

Armed with a shopping list, three Akron women walked into Old Navy on Dec. 8 and ran out with bags full of clothes, according to Solon Police. The women were seen walking around the store stuffing the mesh bags Old Navy supplies for shoppers browsing the store, police said. They then ran out the door and drove away with $2,390 of clothing. An officer found the car soon after with the merchandise inside. Police arrested and charged Latrisha Love, 24, of Akron, with driving with a suspended license and receiving stolen property; Shauntae Hill, 25, and Vinita Clark, 35, both of Akron with receiving stolen property and possessing criminal tools (used to remove security tags). Two Charged With Stealing Nearly $3,000 in Old Navy Merchandise

Two women were charged Wednesday with receiving stolen property after Solon Police found nearly $3,000 in stolen Old Navy merchandise in their car. Arrested and charged after a traffic stop were Markqetta M. Petty, 19, and Jessica Mitchell, 24, both of Cleveland, according to a police report. Both were charged with receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. At about 10:34 p.m. Wednesday, employees at Old Navy on Kruse Drive called police to report seeing four women shoplifting at the store and leaving in a white sports-utility vehicle with Florida license plates.
