Stolen Jewels A 51 year old Solon resident from Blue Heron Drive reported on May 11 that she had discovered $3,470 in jewelry missing from her home. The 33 percent Officers responded to a Lake Vista address where the 50-year old-resident stated that someone had cut approximately one-third of her front lawn. She said that she is being harassed by individuals in her neighborhood due to her political opinions. On May 7 she received a typed letter in her mailbox telling her to cut her lawn. A person in the neighborhood was spoken to regarding the incident but denied involvement; he was advised of the ramifications of trespassing.

A 47-year-old Solon man was arrested after another driver said he threatened to shoot him while driving in Solon. On March 18 at about 9 p.m., a man called Solon police to say that while he was waiting at a traffic light at the Harper and Bainbridge roads intersection another diver threatened to shoot him. Police found the other driver and pulled him over. He appeared intoxicated, so was arrested and taken to Solon Jail. The man submitted to a breath test and registered a .207 blood-alcohol level, over the legal limit of .08. Police found a bottle of liquor and two knives in the car as well. The man now faces charges of menacing, drunken driving, carrying concealed weapons and driving with an open container.

Police are investigating a report by a 50-year-old woman that she was harrassed and her car struck by two men at a Solon ATM. The woman, from Chagrin Falls, came into the police station on Jan. 14 to tell officers that she and her mother were in a car at the drive-up ATM at Charter One Bank on SOM Center Road when she was menaced by two different men, according to the police report. The woman said that a man in a car behind them started honking his horn, then got out, began screaming and pounding on the hood of the woman's car. Then another man came up to the car and asked sarcastically if the two women needed help moving their car. There was no visible damage to the car, but officers are looking into the report.

A Bainbridge Road man was arrested on Dec. 29 after he threatened his neighbors with a handgun, according to Solon Police. Matthew Rios, 37, of Solon, is charged with aggravated menacing and having a weapon while having disabilities, according to the police report. Solon Police say that Rios is a convicted felon. According to the report, a couple living on Bainbridge Road were arguing outside when Rios came outside and got involved. The report says he threatened them with a handgun.

A concerned Solon parent brought his 17-year-old daughter to the Solon Police Station to report that her ex-boyfriend, a 17-year-old Solon boy, had threatened her, according to a police report. The parent told police that the ex-boyfriend had sent the girl "threatening and disturbing text messages." Police officers spoke to the boy, who said he just wanted to scare her and that he was upset and depressed over their breakup. The case has been handed over to Solon's juvenile officer and is being handled as an aggravated menacing.

Two 19-year-old Cleveland woman may face charges, but they tell Solon Police it was just a prank.
A 21-year-old Swagelok employee had her car smeared with lotion and filled with chocolate and sunflower seeds while she worked, according to Solon Police. The two suspects, 19-year-old Cleveland woman said it was just a prank and that they planned to come back and clean up the damage. The reports says the car had lotion rubbed on its windows and had chocolate and sunflower seeds dumped inside. The victim told police that she had recently encountered one of the suspects in Maple Heights and exchanged words. They met again May 7 and one of the suspects threatened the victim. Later that day, at 4 p.m., the victim found her car damaged. The police are investigating.

Police are investigating threats made by a Solon man against his neighbor's dogs on Meadowlane Drive in Solon.
Solon Police are investigating a report that a man threatened to shoot his neighbor's dogs on Meadowlane Drive. According to the police report, a woman said her two dogs were running loose in her yard on May 7 at about 1:30 p.m. The dogs ran up to the property line and began barking at the neighbor, a 54-year-old man, which startled him. The woman told police that she apologized to the man, but he said: "I'm going to shoot your dogs, then you'll be sorry."

A Solon business recently fired a 23-year-old woman for being disruptive and making threats. The woman's day got worse: She was also charged with menacing after threatening to fight a former co-worker she thought got her fired, according to Solon Police. The police report says that the woman because mad at a co-workerr who did not want to give her a ride home to Bedford Heights. Police say the woman then sent harrassing and threatening text messages to the co-worker and also made threatening comments at work. Police say the woman accused the co-worker of getting her fired. She said she wanted to fight the the co-worker by telling her to "square up." The woman was charged with menacing, a misdemeanor.

A 52-year-old Chestland man was charged with aggravated menacing after threating to kill an Arby's worker in Solon. The man's beef? The fast-food restaurant on SOM Center Road wouldn't serve him on foot at the drive-thru window, according to Solon Police. Arrested and charged with aggravated menacing was Michael M. Marjanovic, 52, of Chesterland. According to the police report, Marjanovic wanted to be served at the drive-thru window on foot. But Arby's does not serve people who aren't in a car at the drive-thru. After he was refused service, the man started to scream, swear and threaten to kill the drive-thru worker, according to the report.

A 50-year-old woman who was doused with lighter fluid in May by a former friend is being threatened again by the man who did it, Solon police said. The victim, who lives on Royal Portrush Drive in the Signature One subdivision, told police she has received hundreds of unwanted, lewd messages from 49-year-old Julian Deayala, of Houston, TX. He's been texting her for the last two months, she said. A Solon officer called Deayala and left a message telling him to stop messaging the victim, to which Deayala responded by sending several more threatening messages that he was monitoring her every move.
