Free Martin Luther King Jr. Day Events Abound in Cleveland

Monday, Jan. 21 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. For some, the national holiday honoring the prominent civil rights activist is a time to do community service, be it through removing graffiti or picking up litter in a local park. For others, it’s an opportunity to educate themselves about King and his life's work. And for others, it’s a time to just kick back and enjoy the prolonged weekend. Looking for something to do? Cleveland, with its wealth of cultural institutions, celebrates King's life with free museums, community concerts, and regional theater presentations.  The Holiday's History Martin Luther King Jr. Day, now a U.S. holiday, took 15 years to create. Solon City Offices Closed For MLK Day; Council Meeting Tuesday

City Hall is closed today in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Solon City Hall is closed today in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The city council meeting scheduled for tonight will now be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Caucus begins at 7 p.m.
