Solon Dentist Indicted For Using Drug Database For Info On Ex-Girlfriend

A Solon dentist has been indicted on 21 counts of felony unlawfully using the state prescription drug database to find information about his ex-girlfriend, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. Fred Glick, 55, of Russell, improperly used the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy prescription drug database to obtain information about people who were not his patients, including an ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend and attorney, according to the indictment returned by a county grand jury earlier this week. The prosecutor's office said Glick used the database to find where his ex-girlfriend was living. The improper uses of the database occured between March 2012 and December of 2012. A Dozen Indicted on Mortgage Scheme Involving Solon Homes

The defendants are accused of using fraudulent information to obtain more than $6 million in mortgage loans to purchase properties, including seven in Solon

A dozen people were indicted last week by a grand jury and accused of participating in a mortgage fraud scheme that involved some properties in Solon, according to court records. Those indicted were charged with one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud, 27 counts of mail fraud, and one count of money laundering, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Steven M. Dettelbach. From March 2004 through June 2006, the defendants conspired to fraudulently purchase a total of 27 properties in the Cleveland area, securing more than $6.2 million in mortgage loans, according to the indictment.
