Solon Man Threatens Neighbors With Gun, Gets Arrested

A Bainbridge Road man was arrested on Dec. 29 after he threatened his neighbors with a handgun, according to Solon Police. Matthew Rios, 37, of Solon, is charged with aggravated menacing and having a weapon while having disabilities, according to the police report. Solon Police say that Rios is a convicted felon. According to the report, a couple living on Bainbridge Road were arguing outside when Rios came outside and got involved. The report says he threatened them with a handgun.

Police Find Man Who Fired Gunshot Into Solon Home

A Solon man has been charged with improperly discharging a firearm into a residence after police say he fired a handgun in the Meadow Lane area. A round from that handgun went through a window of a home on Meadow Lane, according to Solon Police. Police had received a complaint about two loose dogs in the Meadow Lane area. The man who filed the complaint, a 54-year-old Solon resident, had fired the handgun. The man was issued a court summons.
