The Solon High show choir ended the season with its 5th grand championship, the first time ever in the choir's 25-year history.

This past Saturday, Solon High School's Music in Motion won it's 5th straight Grand Championship at the Teays Valley Classic in Ashville, Ohio. The competition is a combination of middle school, festival class and championship class show choirs. This year, 20 choirs from Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and West Virginia participated. In the daytime competition, Music in Motion received awards for Best Costumes, Best Female Soloist (Dani Apple), and Best Male Soloist (Kirk Eichelberger, Jr.). Just 3 festival and 4 championship choirs were selected to advance to the evening finals. For the evening awards, Solon won Best Instrumental Combo, Best Choreography, Best Vocals …

Despite a strange incident with a fire extinguisher, Solon's Music in Motion received its fourth straight grand championship in Twinsburg.
Solon High School's Music In Motion brought home its 4th straight Grand Championship, after participating in the Northcoast Show Choir Invitational on Saturday at Twinsburg. The competition included 19 show choirs, representing 4 junior high schools and 15 high schools from Ohio, West Virgina and Alabama. During the daytime awards, Music In Motion won Class A Champion, Best Female Vocalist (Dani Apple), and Best Student Instrumental Combo. Stephen Kersey was also awarded the Best Individual Performer for Solon. Based on the highest overall scores Solon and choirs from Medina, Loveland, Ohio, Nitro, WV, Hurricane, WV, and Albertville, Ala. were selected to move on to the evening finals. In the afternoon awards, Music In Motion won Class A Grand Champion, along with awards for Best Costumes, Best Instrumental Group, and Best Technical Crew.
This past Saturday, Solon High School's Music in Motion attended the 14th Annual Show Choir Invitational in Cuyahoga Falls, the Cuyahoga Classic. Music in Motion competed with 13 other show choirs from Ohio and West Virginia. In the afternoon awards, Music In Motion won Class A Grand Champion, along with awards for Best Costumes, Best Instrumental Group, and Best Technical Crew. However, going into the finals that evening, Solon was in second place, with an overall score that was just 7 points behind the Hurricane Red Hot from Hurricane, WV. In the finals, Music In Motion competed against Hurricane, as well as ETC's All Americans, Edgewood High School's Choraliers, Euclid High School's Varsity Chorale, and Mayfield High School's Limited …
