Five Interesting Facts About Today's Earthquake

The 5.9-magnitude quake hit many areas across the Eastern Seaboard including Ohio

1. USA Today reports the 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit at 1:51 EST and lasted about 45 seconds in areas ranging from South Carolina, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and even here in Ohio. 2. Reports from the Associated Press revealed the quake caused problems for cellular companies as everyone grabbed their cellphones to make calls to family and friends. The congestion caused connection problems for many customers. 3. An earthquake also hit Colorado on Monday night, before Tuesday's quake on the Eastern Seaboard. The New York Times reports it was the state's worst event in over a century, although no major injuries were reported. 4. What's the difference between the SAT and the ACT? Come to the Solon Library at 6:30 p.m. to learn all about it. The class is for students in the ninth grade and higher. It's family game night at Borders. From 8 p.m. until 11 p.m., come to the store and challenge yourself with an assortment of board games. Varsity Bowling rolls against Hudson at 4 p.m. at home.
