Man Caught With Suspected Heroin Needle In Solon

A 19-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man faces drug charges after police found hypodermic needles during a traffic stop in Solon. Solon Police pulled over a car on U.S. 422 on Jan. 11 at about 10:30 p.m. because the car was weaving and also had an equipment violation, according to the police report. During a search of the car, officers found hypodermic needles they suspected were used for injecting heroin. The man was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.

House Party Host Busted By Police For Providing Alcohol To Minors

A 24-year-old Solon man was arrested and charged after police broke up a large party at his Bainbridge Road where minors were drinking, according to Solon Police. Police say 14 guests were either arrested or cited for underage drinking on Jan. 13 at about 12:55 a.m. Besides the host, all of the guest were under 21 and five were under eighteen. Officers were called to the area of Bainbridge Road near Sharondale Drive after a resident called to report a bunch of people running toward a house. The yard was also covered in empty beer cans and a car was parked in the middle of the front lawn, according to the police report. Crack Cocaine Found in Solon: Man Arrested During Traffic Stop

A 58-year-old Hiram man faces felony drug charges after police found suspected crack cocaine during a traffic stop, and then he tried to sneak more of the drug into the Solon Jail, according to Solon Police. Arrested and charged was Michael E. Skudrin, 58, of Hiram. He is charged with felony drug possession, conveyance of drugs into a detention center and possessing drug abuse instruments, according to the police report. Police pulled over a driver on Dec. 16 at about 9 a.m. on the U.S. 422 exit ramp to SOM Center Road for an expired license plate. Drug Trafficking in Solon: Two Men Arrested With Cocaine

Two Warren men were arrested and charged with felony drug trafficking in Solon after they were pulled over for a traffic violation on U.S. 422, according to Solon Police. Arrested and charged with felony drug possession and drug trafficking were Trevor Simpson, 34, and Chester Adams, 34, both of Warren, according to a police report. A police officer driving on the highway saw a car swerving in its lane and pulled the driver over. A search of the car uncovered a hidden compartment in its center console. Inside the compartment were two bags containing about 59 grams of cocaine, according to the report. The incident occured on Nov. 28, but charges came later after further police investigation.

Woman Caught Trying To Get Percocet From Solon Pharmacies With A Fake Prescription

A 30-year-old Solon woman faces felony drug charges after she tried to obtain percocet from two Solon pharmacies without a fake prescription, according to Solon Police. Kimberly A. Macmonigal, 30, of Solon, was arrested charged with deception to obtain dangerous drugs, a fifth-degree felony, according to Solon Police. According to the police report, the woman dropped off a prescription for percocet at Giant Eagle in Solon. The pharmacist determined that the prescription was fake, and called the police. The woman was then caught that day at Walgreens in Solon, where she had also filed a prescription for percocet. Man Arrested On Heroin Charges

A 23-year-old Macedonia man was arrested after police found suspected heroin in his car during a traffic stop, according to Solon Police. Arrested and charged was Thomas Pratt, 23, of Macedonia. He faces charges of possessing drug abuse paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments. More charges are pending based on the results of tests on the suspected heroin, which was found in a baggie, according to a police report. Police pulled Pratt over on Oct. 16 on SOM Center Road because he was speeding and not wearing his seatbelt, according to the report. Police found a needle and burnt spoon officers believed was used to prepare and inject heroin, according to report.

Fired Employee Loses It, Gets Arrested For Drugs

An man just fired by a Solon company decided to vent his frustrations a bit too much, leading to his arrest on drug abuse charges. According to Solon Police, officers were called to Arrow Electronics on Fountain Parkway to deal with a just-fired employe who was causing a scene. Police found the man waiting at a bus stop despite having a car at the business. They returned to the scene and searched the man's car. According to the police report, officers found pills containing a white powder and some marijuana in the car. The man, 22-year-old Airez Hoyt-Montreal Eberhardt of Shaker Heights, is charged with drug abuse. Other charges could be added on depending on the results of tests on the pills.

Magic Mushrooms, Weed and Booze Lead To Arrests

Erratic driving led to two underage Clevelanders being pulled over and arrested on drug-related charges in Solon, including possession of magic mushrooms, marijuana and alcohol, according to Solon Police. A 19-year-old woman and 17-year-old girl, both from Cleveland were pulled over on Sept. 28 just after noon near Chagrin Highlands Boulevard. Police searched the car and found wine, rum, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms in the car. The 19-year-old drive was charged with drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession of alcohol. The 17-year-old passenger was referred to the juvenile officer on charges of drug abuse and possession of tobacco.

With all these reports of people driving around drunk, stoned,drugged,impaired it's a wonder how many people are actually sober on the roads. I'm glad Solon Police is catching these morons. They need to set the public straight that Solon does'nt fool around with offenders.   more ›

Crack Cocaine Found In Car; Driver and Passenger Arrested

A man and woman were arrested on Oct. 3 after Solon Police officers fund what they believe was crack cocaine in their car, according to a police report. Christopher Michael Gause, 23, of West Farmington, was charged with felony drug possession. The passenger of the car, Debra Padgett, 55, of Cleveland, was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments and is also being held on an arrest warrant for another law enforcement agency. According to the report, a police office pulled over a car for an equipment violation on Oct. 3 at 11:59 p.m. A search of the car revealed a suspected crach pipe with drug residue, two used syringes and suspected crack cocaine.

Drunken Driving Checkpoint Leads to Numerous Arrests

The Solon Police conducted a drunken driving checkpoint on Aug. 25, leading to a number of arrests for drunken driving, drugs and other citations.

Solon Police officers conducted a drunken driving checkpoint on Aug. 25 and arrested seven for drunken driving and issues a slew of citations. The checkpoint was conducted at Richmond and Cannon roads in Solon from approximately 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. During those six hours, 469 cars were checked and 34 were diverted for further investigation.  The following actions were taken: Solon Patch will have more information on these arrests in our police blotter coverage this week.
