Woman Caught With Psychedelic Drug Candies, Faces Felony Charge

An Elyria woman faces a felony drug charge after police found a number of suspected drugs in her possession after a traffic stop, according to Solon Police. Arrested and charged was Ashley Marie Senter, 22, of Elyria. She faces a drug possession charge, which is a fifth-degree felony, according to the police report. A car with two women in it was pulled over on U.S. 422 on April 21. The driver, a 26-year-old North Ridgeville woman, had a suspended license, according to the report. During a search of the car, police found 59 grams of marijuana and 21 individually wrapped chocolate candies that are suspected of containing 2C-1, a psychedelic drug substance. Woman Charged With Felony Drug Possession After Traffic Stop

An 18-year-old Painesville woman faces felony drug charges after police found a white powdered substance during a traffic stop in Solon. Solon Police arrested and charged Amanda Manassa, 18, of Painesville, with felony drug possession, a fifth-degree felony, after police found her with a power that is suspected as being either meth or ecstasy, according to a police report. She was arrested following a April 21 traffic stop on U.S. 422 west of Harper Road. A man in the car, a 19-year-old Eastlake resident, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Man Exonerated For Theft, But Arrested For Drugs

A man was stopped by police after they believed he stole a number of lawnmowers. Turns out the lawnmowers were his. The problem, though, were that the drugs in the truck were his too, according to police. On April 6 at about 1 p.m. Twinsburg Police received a call from Solon Police informing them that a man had just stolen some lawnmowers in Solon and that a Chevy truck carrying the lawnmowers were headed towards Twinsburg. A Twinsburg police officer found the truck and pulled it over, but it was determined that the lawnmowers were not stolen after all and belonged to the driver, a 48-year-old Cleveland man. Man Caught With Drugs, More Than $10,000 In Cash

A 44-year-old Willoughby Hills man faces drug charges after police found drugs and a large amount of cash on him during a traffic stop, according to Solon Police. The man was pulled over March 27 at about noon on Aurora Road after a lane violation. The officer ran the man's information and found that he was wanted on an active felony warrant for dangeorus drugs, according to the police report. Police searched the car and found marijuana debris in the car and a small bag that contained a grocery bag with several plastic bags with marijuana residue, the police report said. Also found in the bag was $10,500 in cash separated into smaller bundles. The passenger, a 19-year-old Cleveland man, was charged with drug abuse and drug paraphernalia.

Solon Student Caught At High School With Drugs

A Solon High School student was referred to juvenile court on drug possession charges after he was caught with Oxycontin pills at school, according to Solon Police. According to the police report, one of his teachers said the student smelled like marijuana so the teacher sent him to office. An assistant principal then found three Oxycontin pills, otherwise known as  oxycodone, in the student's wallet, reads the police report. The 16-year-old male student will also face school discipline.

Solon Woman Arrested With Heroin For Second Time In A Week

A 37-year-old Solon was arrested again on drug charges a week after she was arrested with heroin during a traffic stop, according to Solon Police. Charity E. Masterson, 37, of Solon, was charged with drug possession and possessing drug abuse instruments after she was pulled over on Aurora Road for lane violations and a faulty car exhaust, according to a Solon Police report. Police discovered in the car two hypodermic needles, cotton, a silver spoon, and a dollar bill with suspected heroin residue, according to the police report. On Feb. 6, Masterson was arrested and charged after police found suspected heorin in her car during a traffic stop. Masterson's daughter was in the car at the time of that first arrest.

I agree fully. I was wrongfully arrested by solon detectives, and the following week my arrest was in all local papers. Why do you convict with the media? People are innocent till proven guilty, at least thats what our constitution reads. I had kids in the solon schools at the time, and did not want to tell them anything about it to preserve the integrity of our police force in their eyes, and …   more ›

Woman Arrested For Heroin Possession

A 37-year-old Solon woman is facing felony drug charges after Solon Police said they found her with heroin and needles during a traffic stop. Charity Masterson, 37, of Solon, was charged with drug possession, a fifth-degree felony. Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services were also contacted because Masterson's daughter was in the car when she was found with drugs and arrested, according to the police report. According to a police report, a Solon officer saw a car lurch forward suddenly while stopped at the traffic light at Solon and Aurora roads. The officer pulled over the car, and a search uncovered five packets of suspected heroin and six hypodermic needles in the car and in the woman's purse.

Weed Smokers Crash Car Into Tree

Two Warren men were arrested and charged with drug abuse after they crashed a car into a tree in Solon because they were smoking weed while driving, according to Solon Police. The driver, a 19-year-old Warren man, lost control while driving east on U.S. 422 at about 10 p.m. on Jan. 27. The car left the road and hit a tree, according to the police report. The car was heavily damaged, but no one was hurt in the crash. Officials responding to the crash smelled burnt marijuana and also found about 30 grams of marijuana in the car. Both the driver and the passenger, a 36-year-old man, had been smoking, according to the report. Besides the drug charge, the driver was also cited for failure to control.

Drug Needle Found During Traffic Stop

A 28-year-old man was hit with drug charges after he was pulled over for driving with a suspended license, according to Solon Police. The man, a resident of Bristolville, was pulled over in Solon on Jan. 20 for driving with a suspended license. A search of the car by police officers found a hypodermic needle suspected of being used to inject heroin, according to a police report. He was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and driving under suspension, according to police.

Man Charged With Drunken Driving On His Birthday

Four hours into his birthday celebration, a 23-year-old Oakwood Village man was arrested and charged with drunken driving and drug abuse in Solon, according to a Solon Police report. The man was pulled over on U.S. 422 near Harper Road after police received a report of an erratic driver on Jan. at about 4 a.m. A police officer spotted the car in a gas station parking lot and observed erratic driving. After the traffic stop, the man told the officer he had a few shots to celebrate his birthday, which was that same day. He also had a small amount of marijuana in his possession, according to police. The man blew a .154 on the breathalyzer test, over the legal limit of .08.
