Drug Trafficking in Solon: Two Men Arrested With Cocaine

Two Warren men were arrested and charged with felony drug trafficking in Solon after they were pulled over for a traffic violation on U.S. 422, according to Solon Police. Arrested and charged with felony drug possession and drug trafficking were Trevor Simpson, 34, and Chester Adams, 34, both of Warren, according to a police report. A police officer driving on the highway saw a car swerving in its lane and pulled the driver over. A search of the car uncovered a hidden compartment in its center console. Inside the compartment were two bags containing about 59 grams of cocaine, according to the report. The incident occured on Nov. 28, but charges came later after further police investigation.

Drug Trafficking Arrest Made in Solon

A Cleveland man passing through the drunken driving checkpoint in Solon last weekend has been charged with felony drug trafficking, according to Solon Police. Rickey J. Tatum Drake, 26, of Cleveland, was stopped during the checkpoint on a 10:27 p.m. on Aug. 25. According to the police report, Tatum Drake was driving on a suspended license. A search of the car found a bottle with 15 small bags of marijuana inside. Because the drugs were broken up for apparent distribution, Tatum Drake was charged with trafficking, a felony.

Police Find 43 Bags of Marijuana During Traffic Stop

Bedford man faces trafficking charge after police smell raw marijuana

A Bedford man faces a drug trafficking charge after Solon Police found individually packed bags of Marijuana in his vehicle. Jeremy S. Miles, 31, was pulled over on Aurora Road for a loud muffler and wearing no seat belt. Felton said the officer smelled raw marijuana and discovered 43 bags that collectively totaled about 30 grams of the drug. He was arrested for the marijuana and was also given citations for the muffler and seat belt violations.

Reward Offered to Help Capture Drug Trafficker

The following information was provided by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. It does not indicate a conviction.

Have you seen this man or know his whereabouts?  The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of Gerald Howard, who is wanted by the Summit County Sheriff's Department for trafficking in heroin. The task force has been looking for Howard since a warrant for his arrest was issued in October 2011.  Howard, 60, is about 6'01" and weighs about 220 pounds. Task Force Officers developed information that Howard may be staying in the area of East 35th Street in Cleveland. The task force said Howard also has ties to Maple Heights and Akron. Howard has a criminal history that includes convictions for narcotics, fraud and burglary dating back to the 1970s, according to officers. …

Solon Police Detain Two Illegal Immigrants During Drug Bust

Solon Police arrested two men on charges of drug trafficking and detained two illegal immigrants at an apartment in Solon. Arrested were Miguel Cordova and Kevin Fitzsimmons, both 18 and from Solon. They were charged with drug trafficking in the presence of juveniles, a third-degree felony. The illegal immigrants, who were identified only as Mexican citizens, were detained and held for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. On Sept. 28, Police went to an apartment on Hamilton Court after they received complaints of kids smoking weed. According to the police report, officers noticed the smell of burnt marijuana coming from an open apartment door. Inside the apartment, officers found marijuana and individually wrapped marijuana …

Twinsburg Man, Teenager Arrested for Drug Trafficking at Solon Home Days

A Solon officer on bicycle patrol arrested a Twinsburg man and a teenager on drug trafficking charges during the Solon Home Days festival. Marlon Baker, 19, was charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of criminal tools.  A 17-year-old male, also from Twinsburg, was arrested on the same charges. He was referred to juvenile court. According to the police report, the officer rode up to two men standing near a parked car at the festival and noticed the smell of raw marijuana. When he asked the men about it, they said they were just "smoking a blunt." The officer searched the car and found about 62 grams of weed, including a 48.24 grame bag that also contained the 17-year-old's driver's license.
