County Prosecutor Transfers Solon Corruption Investigation to State Auditor
New Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty has passed the investigation of paving contracts in Solon and Valley View to the state auditor's office.
An investigation of paving contracts in Solon and Valley View dating back to 2007 will now be handled by the Ohio auditor's office. The Plain Dealer reports that new Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty has handed the investigation to the auditor without explanation. A spokesman for the auditor told the newspaper the auditor's office is often used to investigate financial cases. The corruption scandal in Solon involved Dominic Bisesi, a former city employee who between 2004 and 2007 steered paving contracts to certain companies that then overcharged the city.
