Solon Man Wanted For Felony Domestic Violence Turns Himself In

The information in this report is from the Solon Police.

A 49-year-old Solon man turned himself in Tuesday to face a charge of felony domestic violence after Solon police say he assaulted his wife at their home while three children were present. According to police, the man returned to the couple's SOM Center Road home at about 8 p.m. on April 5 and started arguing with his 44-year-old wife. The man then began to hit her and throw her to the ground and spit on her, according to the police report. The man then left in her car and hasn't been seen since. Police say the man has a history of domestic violence. Children and Family Services were also contacted because children were present during the incident, police said.

Man Charged With Domestic Violence Against His Grandma

A 32-year-old Solon man was charged with domestic violence against his 76-year-old grandmother, according to Solon Police. The grandmother was not physically harmed but was threatened by her grandson. According to the police report, the man threatened his punch his grandma. Police were called to a home on Pettibone Road to deal with the disturbance on Feb. 3. The grandson was arrested, charged with domestic violence and held without bond in the Solon jail.

Man Accused Of Choking Woman In Front Of Her Children

A Cleveland Heights man is facing a domestic violence charge after Solon Police say he choked the mother of his child outside a Solon restaurant. According to a police report, a 37-year-old man was placing a 21-month-old child in a car seat when, according to the 25-year-old mother, he reached up and began chocking her, according to the report. The woman said the man released her after about 30 seconds and she ran inside the nearby Boston Market to call 911, according to the report. Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services were contacted about the incident because children were present. Besides the baby, there was also a 6-year-old present. Man Charged With Domestic Violence After Punching Roommate

A fight between two roommates over money and eviction from their apartment led one man to punch the other and land himself in jail, according to Solon Police. A 30-year-old Solon man is charged with domestic violence after he punched his roommate, a 57-year-old man, after an argument, according to police. The men lived in an apartment on Aurora Road. The charge is a felony because of a previous domestic violence charge involving these two men, according to the police report. The victim said he did not want to press charges, but he had a visible injury so police arrested the culprit and took him to Solon jail.

Domestic Violence Sends Woman To Emergency Room

A 45-year-old Solon man turned himself in to police on domestic violence charges after his girlfriend was treated at the emergency room after a fight, according to Solon Police. Officials at St. Vincent Medical Campus in Solon contacted police on Nov. 24 after a 46-year-old woman came in for treatment for injuries she said were caused by her live-in boyfriend during a domestic dispute, according to the police report. The woman had injuries to her left shoulder, left eye, arm and ribcage. Police said there were children at home during the dispute, so family services were contacted. The boyfriend later turned himself in to police. He was held without bond in the Solon jail.

Police: Wife Punched 70-Year-Old Husband While He Tried To Sleep

A 65-year-old Solon woman was arrested and charged with domestic violence after Solon Police say she punched her 70-year-old husband while he was in bed. The man called police on Nov. 29 at about 3:17 a.m. to report that his wife had punched him in the jaw after a prolonged argument between the two, according to a police report. The man said he was in bed trying to sleep when his wife punched him. The woman is being held in the Solon jail without bond and is charged with domestic violence.

Fight Over Gun Leads To Domestic Violence Arrest

A Solon man was arrested and charged with domestic violence after police say he struck his girlfriend during an argument over a handgun. According to Solon Police, the victim, a 35-year-old woman, was cleaning the residence on SOM Center Road she shared with her boyfriend when she found a handgun. She asked her boyfriend about it, and he became angry. Eventually, he took the gun back and left, but not before striking the woman across the face and saying "We'll see what's going to happen now," according to Solon Police. The man, 41, was arrested and charged on Nov. 1. He is being held without bail at the Solon jail.

Teen Detained After Threatening Brother With Butcher Knife

A Solon teenager was detained at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Facility after police say he threatened his brother with a butcher knife. Solon Police were called to a Dorset Lane home on Oct. 31 after they received a call that a 13-year-old boy threatened his 15-year-old brother with the knife. The 13-year-old was taken to the police station and later the juvenile detention facility. He is referred to juvenile court on a charge of domestic violence.

Man Attacks Wife Behind Solon Shopping Plaza

Solon Police arrested a man and charged him with domestic violence after witnesses said he assaulted his wife behind a small shopping plaza on Aurora Road. The 51-year-old man is charged with domestic violence and is being held in the Solon Jail without bond. Police arrived on the scene in an alley near the 33600 block of Aurora Road to find a couple near a parked car. The woman had red marks on her neck, according to the police report. Witnesses told police the men had pinned the woman against a wall with his forearm. While being questioned by police, the woman passed out. Police summoned paramedics to the scene, but the woman was roused and refused treatment. Child services were contacted because the couple's 2-year-old child was inside …

Man Attacks Wife With Butcher Knife Over Food Choices at Home

A 42-year-old Solon man faces a felony charge of domestic violence after Solon Police say he attacked his wife with a butcher's knife in their home on Hamilton Court. The wife, a 42-year-old woman, was able to fight off her husband's attack, according to the police report. In fact, her husband was injured with a laceration to his abdomen as the two struggled with the knife. According to the police report, the husband was angry because he came home hungry and was unhappy with the food selection at the house. He then started breaking things in the kitchen and grabbed the butcher knife and went after his wife. The man faces a felony charge of domestic violence.
