Fast Food Restaurants Receive Counterfeit Money

The information in this report is from the Solon Police.

Two fast food restaurants reported receiving fake money within four hours on Nov. 6. First, workers at Taco Bell/KFC told police a man walked in at 3:15 p.m. and ordered a taco for 99 cents and paid with a suspicious looking $20 bill. The cashier looked at it for a moment before looking up to see that the man had already left — with his taco. At 6:45 p.m., an employee at McDonalds advised police that a man paid for food using two counterfeit $20 bills. Lt. Bruce Felton said police believe the same man used the bills at both locations. He is described as white, age 18 or 19, about 5 foot 5 inches, and drove a brown or tan sedan. The police department has all three bills, but has not located the suspect.
