2012 Holiday Shopping Spree Is Tuesday in Solon

The Solon Early Childhood PTA’s (SECPTA) Holiday Shopping Spree will take place at the Solon Community Center on Nov. 27 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Get a jump on the holiday rush! The Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, the Solon Community Center will host the 2012 Holiday Shopping Spree featuring dozens of local shops and home-based businesses as they present hundreds of gift ideas to help you personalize holiday presents this year. You’ll find something for everyone from grandparents to little ones – all in one place at one time.  The Solon Early Childhood PTA’s (SECPTA) Holiday Shopping Spree will take place at the Solon Community Center (35000 Portz Parkway) on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 7:00p.m. - 9:00p.m.  The event is free and open to the public, and no advance registration is needed.   Information can also be found on Facebook by searching “SECPTA Holiday Shopping Spree…

Moms Talk: Holiday Gift Spending for Parents

You know you're going to buy them presents, so how much will you spend this year?

Black Friday typically hearalds the time of year where parents and relatives head out in droves, spending more than they sometimes have, on Christmas presents. Patch wants to know how you will approach gift giving this year. While shoppers turned out in droves for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the U.S. economy is still struggling.  So onto this week's question: Will you indulge your children with holiday gifts this year, or will you pull in the reins somewhat?
