Chicago Deli now plans to re-open on Oct. 23 at its new location at Solon Village.
Chicago Deli needs one more day to get its new location at Solon Village ready. The restaurant posted on its Facebook page that it now plans to open on Tuesday, Oct. 23. The deli originally wanted to open today. Chicago Deli had its last day in its location in the corner of the old Solar Center a week ago, and was closed last week. "We are so excited and can't wait to see all of you there!" the restaurant posted on Facebook last week. Other businesses at the plaza have held their openings. Menchie's is now open at its location in the new out-building, as is Subway. The Soup Pot is also open again in its location.

Find out when Chicago Deli plans to re-open in their new location in Solon Village
If you wanted to get breakfast at Chicago Deli this morning, you're going to have to wait a week. Chicago Deli had its last day in its location in the corner of the old Solar Center, and will be closed this week. On Oct. 22, the restaurant re-opens at its new location on the other side of the plaza, in the remodelled Solon Village. "We are so excited and can't wait to see all of you there!" the restaurant posted on Facebook. Other businesses at the plaza have held their openings. Menchie's is now open at its location in the new out-building, as is Subway. The Soup Pot is also open again in its location.

The opening of Starbucks, Menchies and more businesses is getting closer.
The new building at Solon Village will soon be opened for its new tenants to start prepping for their grand openings. Planning Director Rob Frankland said that developer Echo Solon expects to open the building for its tenants -- including Starbucks, Menchie's and others -- on Oct. 1. It's unclear right now when the businesses will open, but we'll report that information as soon as we can. Frankland said the city has received sign applications from Starbucks, Menchies, UPS and GNC. He expects to receive more applications in the coming weeks. Starbucks will be located in the northern end of the new building, and will have a drive thru. Solon has gone down this road before with the redevelopment of Solar Center. This time, do you think it will actually happen?
This time, will Solon actually get a new Giant Eagle? Over on our Facebook page, people have been weighing in on whether they actually think it will happen since a new developer has taken over the project and hopes to get city approvals to build by April 12.
