Officer Finds Concealed ASP Baton, Drugs During Traffic Stop

Information provided by the Solon Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction

A 42-year-old Cleveland man was pulled over on US 422 on Oct. 18 for hauling a trailer with no working lights, according to Solon police. When the officer approached the truck, reports said the driver, Michael D. Kuhl, was acting nervous. When the officer asked for proof of insurance, Kuhl handed over his medical insurance card, police said. Upon searching the truck, the officer found an ASP baton, which is the same baton police officers use, according to police. The officer also found marijuana, a marijuana pipe and grinder. Police charged Kuhl with carrying a concealed weapon, drug abuse and possessing drug paraphernalia.
