Lake Effect Snow Warning: One To Two Feet Of Snow Possible in Northeast Ohio

A Lake Effect Snow Warning begins at 6 a.m. Thursday for much of Northeast Ohio, including Cuyahoga County.

The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning beginning Thursday morning and extending through Saturday morning. A Lake Effect Watch had been called for, but was upgraded to a warning at 4 p.m. Wednesday. A cold front will move into the area tonight, allowing an arctic airmass to settle over Northeast Ohio. Forecasters say inland snow accumulations could reach six inches to a foot, with up to two feet of accumulation possible in areas closest to the lake. Basically, the closer to the lake, the greater chance for higher snow accumulations. Drive safe and stay warm!
