Solon Man Charged With Assaulting Girlfriend at Twinsburg Motel

A 20-year-old Solon man faces assault charges after his 19-year-old girlfriend told Twinsburg Police he assaulted her at a Twinsburg motel. On April 22, the woman called police to say that her boyfriend assaulted her at the Blue Top Motel on Ravenna Road and then fled in her car, according to the police report from the Twinsburg Police. The woman was treated by paramedics for minor injuries. The man was found a short time later at a home on Ravenna Road. He was charged with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Teen Jumped At Solon Gas Station

A 17-year-old Solon teenager will deal with an assault charge in juvenile court after he reportedly attacked another teen at a bus stop in Solon, accordin to a Solon Police report. On April 8 at about 10:35 p.m., police officers went to Circle K on Aurora Road to talk with a 17-year-old teen, who told officers he was riding home from work on the bus and was having an argument with another 17-year-old teen. They both got off the bus and then one of the teens ran up behind the other and struck him in the head, knocking him to the ground. The teen then continued to kick the victim in the head, according to the report, and then fled east on Aurora Road. Police found the suspected attacker on Aurora Road near Enterprise Parkway. Man Punches Woman In Police Station Parking Lot, Gets Arrested

A 46-year-old Euclid man is charged with assault after he followed a woman in a car to the Solon Police station and then punched her after an argument, according to a police report. On March 23 at about 2 p.m., the man saw a woman driving a friend's truck near the Eastgate shopping center in Mayfield. He did not recognize the woman, and wondered why she had his friends truck, so he followed her, flashing his lights, according to the police report. The woman, who worked in Solon, told police she was nervous about the man following her, so she pulled into the police station on Solon Road. The woman told police that in the parking lot the man tried to take the keys from her and punched her, according to the report. The man was arrested and …

Solon Girl Attacked After Shooshing Teens in Movie Theater

A 13-year-old Solon girl was attacked in the lobby of Solon Cinemas after she shooshed another group of teenagers during a showing of a movie, according to Solon Police. According to the report, the 13-year-old and her 12-year-old friend were watching "Red Dawn" at the movie theater on Dec. 9. Another group of girls were talking during the movie, and the 13-year-old told police she "shooshed" them to get them to be quiet. After the movie, the other girls confronted the victim in the lobby, and the confrontation turned physical. The girl told police she was hit, had her hair pulled and was knocked to the ground. Police are investigating the incident.

Sometimes the truth hurts, and sometimes it comes across as insensitive, but that's life, and our kids need to learn that lesson. Gas Station Worker Attacked By Two Men

A gas station worker in Solon was attacked by an two men after he asked to see their identification when they tried to buy cigars, according to Solon Police. Arrested and charged with assault was Joshua Matthew Young, 18, of Centerville, and a 17-year-old boy from Cincinnati. The teen was also charged with underage drinking. According to the police report, the two entered the Circle K at the corner of Aurora and Harper roads after midnight on July 23. The clerk, a 39-year-old man, asked for their IDs when they tried to buy cigars. They didn't have it, so they started arguing with the clerk and insulting the clerk, according to the report. Man Enters Solon Business, Threatens Workers With Gun

A Chagrin Falls man described as a 'minor shareholder' of a Solon company tried to push his way into the business and threatened the employees with guns when they didn't let him in, according to a Solon Police report. Arrested and charged with assault was Nathaniel Hawthorne, 68, of Chagrin Falls. Hawthorne entered Epic Communications, located on Solon Road, at about 1:30 p.m. April 23 and told the workers he was a part owner of the company and had come to check on things. One of the employees blocked his way and pushed him back, saying that the owner was not in. According to police, Hawthorne pushed a female employee into the table. Fight Outside Solon Apartment Building Ends In Assault Charge

A 19-year-old Maple Heights man was charged with assault after police say he provoked a fight on Monroe Court in Solon. According to police, Curtis Williams, 19, came to Monroe Court and was threatening a 17-year-old resident of the apartments. He was accompanied by his 17-year-old brother The 17-year-old resident and his 20-year-old brother came outside and began fighting with Williams, according to a police report. Police say the teen with Williams began to record the fight on his cell phone. Williams was charged with assault and carrying a concealed weapon, both first-degree misdemeanors. Solon Man Charged With Punching Police Officer

A 26-year-old Solon man was arrested and charged with felony assault after police say he punched an officer. Solon Police went to the man's Selworthy Lane home after his father called saying that his son was out of control. Police have been called to the home before because of similar circumstances. According to a police report, the man was sitting in a chair in the front hallway and refused to leave. That was when he lunged at one of the officer and punched him in the face. This resulted in a struggle, and the man was eventually handcuffed and arrested. The accused, Michael Jirousek, is charged with assault, a felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.

Man Charged with Throwing Rocks at Women at Solon Bus Stop

A Cleveland man was arrested earlier this month and charged with assault after Solon Police say he threw rocks at two women at a bus stop in Solon. Arrested was Deondray D. Peacock, 21, of Cleveland. He was charged with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. According to the police report, a 66-year-old woman and her 46-year-old daughter were running to catch a bus at Melbury Avenue and just missed it. So was another man, who police said became angry that the women did not hold the bus for him. He began to yell and curse at the women, and then started throwing rocks at them. Solon Police Arrest Man on Rape, Assault Charges

Solon Police have arrested a 47-year-old Mayfield Heights man on charges of rape and felonious assault. Charges are pending against Melvin Treadway Jr., who is in custody with the Solon Police Department, according to a news release. Police say a 30-year-old woman reported that on the evening of Sept. 11, her boyfriend beat and raped her at a home on Cannon Road. The woman had evidence of bruising and swelling, as well as cigarette burns on her body.
