Solon Relay For Life

Cancer changes lives...the lives of those who experience this devastating disease - and all those around them. Friends. Family. Everyone. And those who battle it know that the range of emotions swings from denial to depression, fear to anger, helplessness to bold courage. And the survivors readily acknowledge that the support, encouragement, love and prayers of those who surround them is some of the most powerful 'medicine' they receive. There may be no other more demonstrative show of support than the annual gathering in Solon each June at the Relay for Life. It's something special - very special.

It's a life changing experience of its own - a community bonding experience that is shared globally as a celebration of life for those who are battling cancer, a time to remember loved ones lost and an incredible energy source for those who participate.

The event itself is the culmination of months of planning by the organizers and hundreds of participants, locally. The next few weeks leading up to the June 10 Relay will be intense as fund raising drives and team building efforts catch stride.

If you've never heard of Relay for Life, we'll do our best to describe what it's all about here. However, we know we won't do it justice. It's just one of those things you have to experience, first hand, to truly 'get it'. But there are certainly ways you can catch on, participate and contribute, whether you're able to attend the Relay that day, or not.

TUESDAY, MAY 10th, 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., the Solon Donato's location will donate 20% of all Dine In & Pick Up orders to support the Relay for Life . Not a bad deal, eh? Enjoy a Donato's Pizza...and do your part in the battle against cancer.
