Fun and Good Causes at Solon Home Days!!

There is so much to do for people of all ages at Solon Home Days this weekend. Two of the causes are near and dear to me. Solon Center for the Arts and Solon Italian Club & Foundation Scholarship Fund.

I have the pleasure of being a trustee for Friends of Solon Center for the Arts. We are continually finding ways to enhance the amazing resource we have in Solon at SCA. The Solon Rotary Club has decided to jump in and help us all with a great project. They are selling bricks at Home Days and beyond to help fund the new patio at Solon Center for the Arts. You can personalize a brick of different sizes and be immortalized on the new patio. Maybe you have been involved at SCA or you have an up and coming star in your home....and want to mark their spot at SCA. Your donation is tax deductible and will always be appreciated.

Secondly, but no less important, The Solon Italian Club is again hosting the Gaming Tent at Solon Home Days. They hosted a Texas Hold 'Em tournament last night and will continue to provide Texas Hold 'Em, Black Jack, Pull Tabs, etc.... for the enjoyment of visitors to the tent. But, what you may not know is that all of the proceeds will benefit their scholarship fund. This is the 40th anniversary of the club and they have recently reached a milestone of awarding $400,000 in scholarships to members of the Solon HS Italian Club as well as children and grandchildren of Solon Italian Club members.

Both Solon Center for the Arts and the Solon Italian Club will be represented in the parade on Sunday......see you then!!!
