SOLON HOME DAYS RAFFLE GRAND PRIZE DRAWING

When: 9 p.m. Sunday

What: Tickets for the raffle, organized by the Solon Benevolent Fund, are sold throughout the festival. Daily winners will be drawn, as well as featuring hourly prize packages, including cash prizes. All tickets will be eligible for the grand prize drawing held at 9 p.m. Sunday.

The grand prize is $5,000 cash, a donation from the Davis Automotive Group.

A Good Cause: The benevolent fund uses the money raised by the raffle to do good things in the community. The group's mission is to "provide help where the need is presented." The group especially focuses on helping needy children, and has donated more than $100,000 in aid to the needy by working with the city, schools, religious organizations and more.

Cost: Tickets are $5 each or $20 for five tickets.

SOLON HOME DAYS PARADE

What: This one is self-explanatory, but there's nothing better than a parade to cap off a fun weekend festival. The parade, will feature a "Cruisin' Solon" theme this year. The parade features music, vintage cars, fire engines and more. Of course, candy will be thrown.

Parade Route: The parade will begin at Arthur Road School and head down Arthur Road, turn right on Solon Boulevard. It will head down that road until it gets to Inwood Road, where the parade will turn right. The parade will then turn right on SOM Center Road and finish in front of the Solon Community Park at about 2:30 p.m.
