Winter Sports Preview: Boys Basketball Team Has New Coach, New Look

Solon will have a new look under Coach Bob Patton and will be tested early on against a daunting schedule

The Comets have a new coach in Bob Patton Jr., a standout player in high school at Youngstown Liberty and in college at Stanford.

Solon will have a new look under Patton and will be tested early on against a daunting schedule.

"We will have to overcome youth, inexperience, lack of size and new offensive and efensive concepts but I like how hard our kids have worked and I believe we can be a good team," Patton said.
