Week 5 Preview: Solon Versus Normandy, 7 p.m. Tonight

Here's six things you need to know about tonight's game between the Solon Comets and the Normandy Invaders

It's week five of the 2011 football season, and the 4-0 Comets are traveling to Normandy High School tonight to take on the Invaders.

Remember, Solon Patch is your for Comet football news. Here's six things you need to know about tonight's Week 5 matchup.

1. Game Time: 7 p.m. Thursday (today) at Normandy High School in Parma, located at 2500 W. Pleasant Valley.

2. Matchup History: This is the second Northeast Ohio Conference cross-divisional matchup for the Comets this season. The Comets haven't played Normandy before.  Last season, the Invaders were 1-9, but there are 2-2 already this year.

"Normandy is a much-improved team and we need to be ready on Thursday night,” said head coach Jim McQuaide.

3. Player to Watch: Kick returner and defensive back Darian Hicks. He has been a big-time playmaker this season, already for touchdowns. What will he do next?

4. Week Four Player of the Week: The entire Comets defense, which turned turnovers into touchdowns and made life miserable for the North Royalton offense.
