Here's six things you need to know about the home opener between the Solon Comets and the Akron Buchtel Griffins

Finally, the Solon Comets are coming home.

It's week three of the 2011 football season, and the 2-0 Comets are taking on Akron Buchtel at Stewart Field

1. Game Time: 7 p.m. Friday (today) at 's Stewart Field. 

2. Matchup History: This is the first time , and the Griffins are an unknown quantity to the Comets. They were the runner-up in Division III last year, but graduated 25 players. They are 0-2, but played two tough teams.

"They were in the state finals last year, I don't care what division it was," said Solon head coach Jim McQuaide. "They're a very good team and have some outstanding players."

3. Buchtel Has Top Prospect: One player to watch on the other side this week is Buchtel defensive back Jarrod Wilson, who has verbally committed to play at the University of Michigan next season.

4. Week Two Player of the Week: Since the Comets shut out Worthington Kilbourne, we're going defense this week. Leading the team in tackles was Kalin Ethridge, who had 11 total tackles, include five assists, three solos and three tackles for loss. Honorable Mention: Quarterback Pat Kramer had a strong game, throwing for 158 yards and a touchdown.
