Solon Hockey Team To Play At Progressive Field's Snow Days

The Solon Comets hockey team will take part in the 1st Annual Cleveland Indians Snow Days Hockey Tournament at Progressive Field this weekend.

The Comets will face off against Mayfield at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Chagrin Falls at 9:40 a.m. Saturday and Cleveland Heights at 4:40 p.m. Saturday.

If the Comets do well enough, they could be playing in the championship game at 1 p.m. Sunday. A consolation game is scheduled for 9:40 a.m. Sunday.

Tickets for the games are $10 per day in advance or at the Progressive Field box office. On Saturday, one admission ticket is good for both games. Also, between games on Saturday, you are able to leave Progressive Field and return for the second game.

If you want to go and participate in Snow Days as well as take in the ice hockey games, advance tickets are $18 while tickets at Progressive Field will be $28. Those tickets includes access to Batterhorn, Frozen Mile and the Rookie Rink.

Advance tickets can be purchased in the Solon High School athletic office between 8:00am and 3:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday and until 12 noon on Friday. All ticket sales are cash only.

Solon Hockey has a 2-2 record on the young season after the Rocky River Thanksgiving Tournament.

The Comets first home game of the season is set for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at Gilmour Academy against Kent Roosevelt.
