Solon Hockey Takes on Brecksville in Baron Cup Tonight

Solon, the second seed, will play Brecksville-Broadview Heights, which defeated Orange in the opening round.

Solon Hockey opens its bid for the Baron Cup II tonight when the team takes on the Bees of Brecksville-Broadview Heights in Brooklyn.

The puck is set to drop at 8 p.m. Friday at the Brooklyn Ice Arena at 7600 Memphis Avenue in Brooklyn.

Brecksville (16-13-2) defeated Orange in the opening round. Solon (18-5-1) had a first-round bye in the six-team tournament.

Solon and Brecksville played to a 5-5 tie in their meeting during the regular season.

The winner of the game will play the winner of the Amherst Steele and North Olmsted game for the championship on Sunday. Amherst is the top seed in the tournament and North Olmsted defeated Kenston in the opening round.
