Solon High Bowler Advances To State Tournament

Congrats to Solon senior Brandon Mattingly for advancing to the state tournament in bowling.

Solon High School senior Brandon Mattingly has advanced to the State Tournament this weekend in Columbus.

Mattingly finished fifth out of all the bowlers competing at the district tournament, and second out of the individual qualifiers. He is the 3rd bowler to advance to the State tournament since bowling became a sport at Solon High School in 2008.

He bowled a 240, 182, and a 256 with a 678 Series.

The state tournament will be played in Columbus on March 2.

Senior Gabe Cohn bowled a 222, and Senior Andrew Quandt bowled a 220. The team placed 18th out of 28 teams at the District Tournament.
