Solon Girls Soccer Off To 1-1 Start

The Solon Comets Girls Soccer Team won its opener against Cleveland Heights and lost its second game against a tough Walsh Jesuit Squad.

The are off to a 1-1 start on the young season after dominating Cleveland Heights in the opener and losing against a tough Walsh Jesuit team.

In the opener at home last Saturday, the Comets defeated Cleveland Heights in a 9-0 shutout.

Hannah Schippers and Maddie Kresevic each recorded a hat trick (that's three goals each). Ariana Daukss scored two goals and Maria Collica scored one goal.

Goalie Kristen Confroy led the shutout effort for the Comets.

Solon travelled to Walsh Jesuit on Monday night and lost 3-0. The first half was scoreless, but the Lady Warriors scored three goals in the second half.

The Comets will play in Brunswick on Wednesday night.
