Senior goalie Jacob Altstadt could have texted in his after game dinner order as he only had to make one save for the game. The offense was led by the constant offense rotation of Orlando Cumberlander, Leo Held, Aram Tosunyan, Scotty Welker, Aditia Nair, and Jonathan King.

At halftime of the game, The Solon Soccer Club travel soccer teams were welcomed on to the turf as they were greeted by the cheering crowd to kick off their seasons. The club is where a majority of the current high school players got their start, and are future Comets to the high school program.

The JV team also won their game earlier in the evening by a score of 4-2. Scoring for Solon were Ian Erkkila, Max Shulman, Josh Baskind, and Darrian Mercer.

Next up for Solon is always tough Mayfield as they travel Tuesday night to take on the Wildcats at their new stadium. JV plays at 5 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.
