PHOTOS: Three Solon Wrestlers Headed to State Tournament

Brandon Thompson, Anthony Collica and Justin Kresevic will compete in the state tournament at Ohio State.

Three Solon wrestlers are headed to the state tournament after stellar performances in the weekend's district meet in Mentor.

Brandon Thompson (41-2 record; 113 lbs weight class) and Anthony Collica 40-3; 145 lbs) both came in first place in their weight class. Thompson and Collica are both defending state champions.

Justin Kresevic (39-6; 160 lbs) came in second in his weight class at the district tournament. Kresevic will make the state tournament after missing last season with an injury.

The state tournament begins Thursday and runs through Saturday at the Shottenstein Center at Ohio State.
