Solon hopes to begin the second half of the football season on a positive note with a win against Medina.

The Comets dominated Normandy 44-0 last week. Solon is still dealing with some injuries, and wants to get the second half of the season started with a win. Solon is 3-2. Medina is 1-4.

Here's five things you need to know about the Week 6 matchup:

1. Game Time: 7 p.m. Friday. The game will be played at Stewart Field at Solon High School.

2. Matchup History: Solon has dominated the Battling Bees in the last decade. The Comets have a 8-1 record, and won last season 17-0.

3. 'We're Fired Up': "We showed a lot of improvement last week," said Solon Head Coach Jim McQuaide. "We’re fired up to begin league play at home this year against a tough Medina team. We need to start this portion of the schedule with a great attitude and carry that with us through the end of the regular season. We want that fourth straight title hanging in our school for years to come."

4. Pink Out!: This game is part of the Comets for the Cure pink out, a week long effort to raise money and support for breast cancer research. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game!
