Champs! Solon Hockey Wins Snow Days Tournament

The Comets Hockey team defeated Cleveland Heights 3-1 to win the Snow Days tournament at Progressive Field.

The Solon Comets Hockey squad defeated Cleveland Heights 3-1 to win the Snow Days Tournament at Progressive Field.

The Comets were 4-0 in the tournament, defeated Mayfield, Chagrin Falls and Cleveland Heights two times by a combined score of 18-5.

Sunday's championship match against Cleveland Heights featured goals by the usual suspects: Dan Roberts, John Hannah and Sam Littman all scored one goal.

Kyle Peterson collected 15 saves.

The Comets open regular league play at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday against Kent Roosevelt at home. The Comets play their home games at Gilmour Ice Arerna.
