Boys Soccer Celebrates Seniors

Even though the team lost 1-0, there was plenty to celebrate. There were a fine group of seniors in the class of 2013 that were honored with their parents for the "Senior Night" game.

On Saturday afternoon, the Solon boys’ soccer team played host to St. Edwards. Even though the team lost 1-0, there was plenty to celebrate. There were a fine group of seniors in the class of 2013 that were honored with their parents for the “Senior Night” game.

The seniors are: Jacob Altstadt , Orlando Cumberlander , Leo Held, Josh Kammer, Ardi Khalafi, Foster King, Alec Krienen, Michael Luo, Aditya Nair, Michael Rothenberg, Matt Weyenberg, Brian Wise, and team manager Alex Silk.

Coach Conner said it best when praised the players for the following:

  • Their dedication to the soccer program and to their teammates

  • Their outstanding work ethic

  • Their dedication to academics

  • The way they lead by example

  • Their positive attitude

  • Their willingness to put the team first
  • While the season is not over yet, the team is ready for their final two games this week and preparing for the district tournament starting the week Oct. 15.

    Games this week include Tuesday night travelling to Strongsville, and next Saturday night hosting Chagrin Falls. Both varsity games begin at 7pm, JV is at 5 p.m.
