Fourteen show choirs, including Twinsburg, Strongsville and Cuyahoga Falls, will compete this weekend in Solon High School's first ever show choir competition.

Solon High School's Music in Motion show choir is hosting its first-ever competition this Saturday, March 3.

Fourteen show choirs from Ohio and Virginia, including choirs from Twinsburg, Strongsville and Cuyahoga Falls, will compete to be Grand Champion at the Solon Show Choir Invitational 2012.

The first choir performs at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the auditorium. Choirs will then perform every half hour throughout the day. The six best choirs return for finals beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Wristbands are only available at the door the day of the show. Daytime Competition admission costs $8. The Finals Competition is $8 also.

Music in Motion will not compete but will perform at 10:30 p.m. followed by the Finals Awards presentation.

A wristband that will get you admittance to the entire day's performances costs $14.

Solon's Music in Motion is on quite a tear this season, winning Grand Champions in four straight performances.
