Solon Students Chosen for Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program
Students will be given guidance and $600 to launch or expand their own businesses during summer workshop.
More than 20 area high school students, including seven from Solon High School, have been chosen to participate in the Shaker Heights LightHouse Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (LEAP).
LightHouse, an organization modeled after the Shaker LaunchHouse business incubator, will mentor the students through the summer, teach them from the Launchhouse curriculum, and give them startup money to launch their own businesses.
That means turning a profit, eventually — a feat that businesses run by experienced adults can struggle to do.
