Solon Has Best Performing Schools In Northeast Ohio: More Report Card Data Released

Ohio released more preliminary school report card data, and it's good news for Solon parents and students.

Solon Schools received the highest performance index score of any public school district in Northeast Ohio, and the third best score in the state, according to more preliminary report card data released by the state.

Solon's performance index for the 2011-2012 school year was 111.2. The school district received the mark of excellent with distinction and met adequate yearly progress, according to the data.

There are 610 public school districts in Ohio, and all of them received a performance index score, which is based on how well all students do on the tests.

The only districts to have a higher score than Solon were two in the Cincinnati suburbs. Madeira and Wyoming both had slightly higher scores of 111.6 and 112, respectively.

Note these scores remain preliminary until an investigation into the data is completed by the state auditor. Once that is finished, then the state will release the graphical PDF report card form parents are familiar with.
