Saturday Craft Fair Raises Money for Solon High PTA

The event runs from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Entry into the craft fair at Solon High School costs $2.

More than 90 vendors will come to Solon High School on Saturday to sell crafts, jewelry and much more during the annual Solon High PTA Craft Fair.

The event is the PTAs biggest fundraiser of the year, said Lisa Crowl, co-chairwoman of the event for the high school PTA.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Entry costs $2, but students get in free.

Crowl said the event is a perfect opportunity to buy some unique presents this holiday season.

"It's more than just a craft fair," Crowl said. "It’s a great even to come and start your holiday shopping with unique items you won’t find at the mall."

Vendors will be selling a range of items, including: handmade jewelry, wood crafts, knit and crocheted baby items, handbags, metal artwork, scrapbooking items and specialty cupcakes.

There will be a concession stand -- don't miss the sloppy joes -- and Fired Up Catering will be baking pizza and pepperoni rolls in their mobile pizza oven.

The PTA makes money from the entry fee and renting space to vendors. The money helps pay for the PTAs events, Crowl said.
